主线围绕第一集大结局搬来的黑人主妇“贝蒂·爱波怀特”。她在地下室建了一个牢房，关了一个看似非常危险的人。后来知道这个人其实是她的大儿子，杀了二儿子的女友，贝蒂不想让儿子被抓，又怕他继续伤人，便把他关了起来。然而，真相并非如此……
