讲述一架在布鲁塞尔的航班起飞后，此时太阳活动突变令到被照射到的生物通通死亡，因此有幸逃过一劫的飞机试图向西面飞去以躲在黑暗中。航班上包括富豪﹑穷人﹑年轻人﹑老人﹑平民﹑军人等，他们只有一个目标：在这太阳浩劫下幸存……问题有些人为此可是会不择手段。
