法国南部湿地卡马格，一匹白鬃骏马不堪忍受牧主的虐待逃了出来，少年福尔科（Alain Emery 饰）收留了它，并与之成为好朋友。牧主四处寻找，希望抓住逃跑的白马。男孩和白马为了自由甘愿逃亡……
